Hello all
My name is Carolyn I am aged 58 earlier this year i was diagnosed with IPMN (Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasm of the pancreas) which resulted in my undergoing a total pancreatectomy in April of this year. I have recovered from the op well but of course I am now classed as a type 1 diabetic. I am on the basal/bolus scheme and take Novorapid and Glargene to control my diabetes. I am finding controlling my levels quite difficult lots of highs/lows for no discernable reason!? I would be interested to hear from anyone else who has undergone this operation.
