Hi there. This is my first time posting on here but I just wanted to know if there is any other people on here that has diabetes due to a chronic illness. I have chronic pancreatitis caused by a badly infected gallbladder and the past few years my pancreas has died and shrivelled up. I still have the head of pancreas but it’s not working and classed as useless causing me diabetes. I’m on 2 lots of insulin and inject about 6 times daily.
C3 is the proper term for diabetes I have but even a lot of medically trained people haven't heard of it when I say what I have.
it’s so hard daily for me as I don’t just have to watch my carbs and sugar but I also have to keep and eye on my fats. So I’m counting fats, sugars and carbs daily. Anyone in this group who is experiencing the same as me or even knows about my type of diabetes would be nice to chat. x
