I’ve had acute pancreatitis 4 times since April! I’m type 2 diabetic and my blood sugars don’t settle after the attacks. I’ve been taken off Gliclazide and put on insulin 16u x2daily I’m in pain all the time. Apparently the high fat in my blood is causing the damage. The specialist wants to put me on Creon and ezetimibe. This treatment is delayed as my original endo team are take over and I won’t be seen until the 13 October. I had two hospital stays in august. I just feel I’ve been parked on a shelf.
I’m I type 2 or 3?
What’s the side affects of the new meds?
Any questions I should ask my endocrinologist?
Also I can’t eat high fat foods or high sugar foods.
I’m really struggling to source foods that I can actually eat.
Any help. Thoughts, encouragement is much appreciated right now.
