If you have access through internet, and your GP is on line, your doctor's website should have an appointment system like I have an e-consult application for appointments and advice.
I think you do need to get an appointment with your GP, to find out what is happening, with anxiety you over think the details, and make it worse than it actually is. Even if at first you talk over the phone.
I know, I suffer from anxiety and other issues with my brain. It is not easy to stop the anxiety, it is not easy to face your day to day stress. It is not easy to face up to what you have to do!
Because with anxiety, it is always worse than it actually is.
I have issues going out, shopping, meeting friends even family sometimes, I just want to go to my safe space and not bother with life it case it is worse than I imagined.
I'm working on it, taking baby steps to get me through the day.
With my GP, my counsellor, my family and friends, I am fighting to get me back and my confidence.
I wish you well and the best advice I have ever had, only you can solve this, it is your brain, but with help and encouragement, the anxiety will lessen. Talking is a great way to express your fears, talk to someone you can trust and be honest with.
Have you tried counselling or help with cognitive behavioural therapy?
