Here's a useful article from Neurology.com about the subject:

http://www.neurologyreviews.com/08july/ ... sDiab.html

Then there is this one as well which seems to refute the suggestion:

http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE49F8EJ20081016

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Although the likelihood of having diabetes diagnosed is increased around the time Parkinson's disease is identified, diabetes does not appear to increase the risk of Parkinson's disease, according to findings published in Diabetes Care.

There are many more links about this which mostly all seem to contradict each other ??
I don't think there is a definitive answer yet.....

Do you know which drugs he is on for his Fibromyalgia ?

Some drugs can cause Parkinson's like symptoms. Has he actually been formally diagnosed with Parkinson's disease ?

thanks for the research both .I will find out about the fibromyalga drugs. He has been to a specialist who just prescribed more pills.
