Parkrun

Does anyone else find it really difficult to get blood out of their finger after running. I had thought about building some testing into my long runs, but it seems that all my blood goes into my legs, and I end up squeezing for 2 minutes before anything comes out.

No mine gushes! I assume that's because I'm warm

Well he managed Manchester on a banana before the start and a couple of sips of water. I dragged my bum round on a bowl of porridge and enough water to only need two pints of coffee before I thought of going for a pee.

I know exactly what you mean.

I'm sure it was an accident but you really helped me along with a dude in the line at excel, your marathon didn't go according to plan but you still had a good day, thats made me realise its about enjoying the experience rather than stressing over what time i get

the problem is finding the next challenge

lol yes I'm looking forward to a bit of a rest, but not too long I'm going to start cycling (for the sake of my knees) but keep up the park runs too, unless i enjoy it so much sunday and decide i need to do more of course i hate heights so was thinking about jumping from a plane but it won't keep my fitness up, which was the whole motivation so it'll have to be something more strenuous

i did enter a competition for a training camp and marathon in Kenya at excel, i don't think id do it though, id be too worried about being killed by gunmen

Plan, plan only plan I had was to get around the **** thing in one piece

Seriously though I knew I had not chance of a decent time but raising funds and helping a mate out who hit the wall big time are enough.

I have spent the week on gentle exercise, swimming and walking with lots of stretching. Got my muscles sorted by the sports therapist on Tuesday. By eck that did make my eyes water good job she is a friend and is used to my colourful language.

Legs feel fine now though

maybe it was me expecting a nutty time as your so fast

I'm hoping for a massage at the after party, enough to get me home anyways
