Payment for prescriptions

I would like to ask you if persons with diabete (type I.) do need to pay for their prescriptions in the pharmacy.

In the UK they should get all their medication free. Fill in a form at the doctors or the pharmacy and get it stamped at the surgery.

If you live in Wales all presciptions are free.

Anybody in the UK who is diabetic and on diabetic meds gets their prescriptions free. The doc should have given out a form when prescribing any diabetic meds. If you havent got one go back and get one. Fill it in and send it off and you get an exemption card back.

Out of curiosity does this cover you for anything else - eye tests or dentists (like maternity ones?)

I have only just got mine - it was my sister that mentioned it, then the chemist - not my diabetic nurse nor my doctor!
