2nd day off for me and forgot to wear it.

Back to the grindstone tomorrow.

Had a 1 mile run, then walked into town to meet friends for tea :)

Ran the whole mile. Outside. In the rain. With a big hill.

WIN

5km walk this morning followed by 2 km at lunchtime and then a walk to and from doctors office.

He was happy with my progress (difficult to argue with a 5,3% HbA1c) and agreed to my request to try going back to just metformin instead of the combination metformin januvia (Janumet) medication he prescribed for me in December. Januvia is a PDP4 inhibitor, rumored to protect beta cells but also allegedly a risk for pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer and heart failure. It is these rumored risks I want to avoid.

So I will have to keep detailed records of my blood levels over the next two or three weeks and then we will review these in order to decide way forward.

He did however increase metformin from 2 to 3 times 850mg, but he is willing to reduce this if my levels behave over the next weeks.

So wish me luck.

T2, Metformin 850 Mg (1 tablet twice daily), venlafaxine 75mg (1 tablet daily), buscopan 10mg (2 tablets 4 times daily)

I did 7,850 yesterday

Should have been more, but as I got ready to go for my run my neighbour jumped out a window to try and commit suicide :( she wasn't high enough to cause permanent injury I don't think, but obviously i was busy phoning an ambulance and giving statements rather than running!

Good grief Hale! What a shock. Poor neighbour.

Yesterday was 4246 for me.
I've got the day off today and it's raining. I'm not expecting a good score unless the weather cheers up

I've been quite pleased with my results for the past two days. Monday it was 792 and yesterday 713, (not bad considering I sat and watched curling for two and a half hours!). My average before was 400-500 so gradually increasing.
