Had my ears peirced at 16 yrs old and now many moons later find holes sealed over so is there ever a problem with ear peircing as an aging diabetic

If you have problems healing then not good. Otherwise go for it.

I went for my healed holes redoing in April of this year and they healed really quickly. I never had a problem with piercing. Go for it.

Hi

No I didn't have any problems. It was a bit sore but I was told to put the stuff on that they give you. Did they give or sell you any solution to put on afterwards? Where did you go to have it done?

I had my ears re-pierced a couple of years ago and read that it was better to have it done with a needle rather than a gun as it gentler to the surrounding tissue. Had no problems.

I re-pierced my own  by telling the earrings they would go in and pushing hard until they did. One ear took a bit longer than the other to heal, but no real problems. Just a few folks telling me I was mad, but that often happens, so nothing new there then. :woot:

Claires for peircing and yes am using the solution

Had only one ear repierced as managed to stretch other hole enough to insert earring okay but as it happens that is the most uncomfy and the one done again is much easier .Must say that in the over half a century since last pierce its oh so much easier and it was done with the gun .Today its a bit better and just wondering if its the lotion thats causing the soreness as it smells like bleach so maybe will use tcp as last time years ago

Surgical spirit might be kinder than TCP but if it worked for you then then now shouldn't be any different. My dad has always sworn by TCP.

When I had my ears done as a child, my mum was told to keep them clean with a bit of Whisky, I used this when I had other piercings done on ears and nose, healed lovely.
