Type 1 PEP effect on Blood Glucose Level

Please do not judge me about this, accident happen and make it short i make a mistake. I was given PEP ( more info here https://emedicine.medscape.com/article/2141935-overview ) as a preventative treatment but i noticed my blood glucose level was higher than normal and i need more unit of insulin to bring it down. Do the PEP treatment cause it effect or it because of my emotion stability causing it.
