Pigs do fly!!!

Good for you hilmat01. My GP has had to revise his views as I've lost 81/2 stones in a year and brought my A1c down to 4.9! The nurse who argued with me about LCHF was spittin' feathers, the old witch

Thanks for your reply incyb. It’s tuff going. My gp is very anti high fat. I’m not expecting to receive my appointment this side of Easter hopefully by that time my levels will show him that I’m succeeding with the low carb. If they were diabetic I’m sure they would have a different outlook on it. We need to look after ourselves because in the end who else really cares.

Hi, I had type 2 for over a year now, and had to go for yearly check up last week and my hba1c had gone up loads , so the DN and doctor prescibed Glyclizade and gave me 2 monitors(1 large and 1 mini) and a prescription for strips and lancets. I seem to be in a good area for care.Got 2nd telephone appointment tommorrow by the doc to see how I'm gettting on with Glyclizade, I might ask him about low carb diet and see what he says. Fingers crossed

It will be interesting to hear what your doctor comes up with. I hope you get a favourable answer. Fingers crossed indeed.
