Pilchards on toast?

Just had this for first time ever. Have to admit it was nice but does anybody know if this is good or bad from T2s point of view?

The tin did'nt say much but it tasted delicious!

Sorry for the dumbing down but need to know as I'm a recently discovered T2 myself.

P.S. I'm on Metaformin 3 x daily plus diet and excercise.
 
I dont like pilchards but as far as I know they are high in Polyunsaturated fats which can help lower cholesterol, they also contain Omega 3 so are good for diabetics, try to use wholegrain/wholemeal rather than white bread for your toast for the friendliest meal :D

Good choice! :) As Sid says they are extremely healthy as they are high in polyunsaturated fats, vit D and calcium. Omega 3 fish oils are thought to be beneficial in promoting heart health, I eat mackerel twice a week which is really nice too, take a look at the following which has some useful info on eating fish:
