I have had diabetes for 2 month, and in the last week ive been getting pins and needles. I play football about 4 times a week and was wondering if that had anything to do with it. Also my blood sugar levels have been within 4-7, so was wondering what to do

If your pins and needles continue I would suggest you see your GP.

Hi

Some people get pins & needles, or tingling lips as one of their 'hypo' signs. Have you checked your levels when you are getting the pins & needles?

If you've only recently been diagnosed and you have therefore gone from very high blood sugar levels, down to something much more normal you can even get hypo symptoms at blood sugar levels which are not actually hypo. It's as though your body has re-set its 'gluco-stat' at a higher than usual level

My son had these high-level hypos when he was first diagnosed, but now he would only get symptoms at levels of about 3.8 or lower.
