I like a band wagon especially one that's on message so I've borrowed the book from the library. Its all sensible stuff my only issue was that it's only as sensible as the person reading itDr Malhotra wrote an article in a magazine I get each month. I couldn't reproduce the exact article here so I wondered if he had written it elsewhere and .............
I am not pushing the diet just learning more about it.

It's important to remember, should you be making choices, that sugar contain no nutrients what so ever and has only been a significant part of the human diet for a relatively short time, whereas fats (putting aside the artificially created ones) contain many essential substances, including fat soluble vitamins, and have been part of our diet since we first walked on two legs and maybe before. When I read such articles about sugar being bad, not fat I usually wonder whether it is not a case of eating either one or the other but rather not too much of either.
Have not read the book but I like the article. I dont think anyone at my.gp practice reads the telegraph!!
Its the same as the blood sugar diet, only with more calories.
It seems like a really good idea. I like the fact that he does say to limit the amount of pasta. A lot of weight is given to the fact that a Mediterranean diet includes loads of pasta, which, of course, it really doesnt.
Any thing promoting low carb has to be a step in the right direction. Until new evidence points in another direction!!
