Pixel 8 pro

I don't have a Pixel 8, :-( but based on my current and previous Pixels I'd be surprised if you had problems.

Or are you suggesting you ARE having problems?

Need new phone but alarms are a must and pixel pro eight is expensive so need to get it right

Well, if I were in that position, I wouldn't hesitate in getting one. Pixels are THE definitive Android and it would be unforgivable if Abbott couldn't have it working. But back in the real world ;-) it's not too much of a risk. I'm sure that most sellers would accept returns if it didn't work. If an internet sale, then there are laws..., and if an in person purchase you could try negotiating a sale or return based on it working.

I've always bought my Pixels from Google. Never needed to send anything back but I'm confident it would be OK.

BTW if costs are an issue, the 7a is extremely good value at the moment. They come with 5yrs updates. so your only losing 1 year against a new 8.
