hi, off to Puerto del Carmel soon, anyone know. Good place to eat for type 1 diabetics that don't mind you injecting in public

I have never been to Puerto del Carmel. However, I have been to Spain many times. I do not hide when I inject so, although I do not inject "publicly", I usually inject "in public".
At no time have I experienced any problem with anyone in a restaurant in Spain (or anywhere else come to that). So, if I was you, I'd just go, have fun and manage your diabetes in the same way as you do at home. Just remember to keep your insulin cool.

Have a great time.

Guacamole is always good. Just no chips. Ask for celery or a bed of lettuce. Salsa too. Stay away from margarita mix.
Plenty of good sea food.

I'm sure you'll find plenty of places to eat serving foods of your own choosing, as for injecting in public, no-one will bat an eyelid at you injecting as they'll be too busy enjoying themselves.

Over the years I've holidayed in the likes of Spain, Greece & Portugal and never had any issues with eating out or injecting, just be mindful that heat can effect your bg levels and you may have to make some adjustments to your insulin doses. Have a great time.

Is that in lamzarote? If it's where I'm thinking of it's lovely, nice long promenade for strolling. I'm sure there'll be plenty of good food choices. I too just get on with it and object in restaurants, good think about holidays is less clothing to get out of the way beforehand. Have a smashing time

Lanzarote isn't some exotic, third world location. It's Spain. Attitudes will be much the same as injecting in public at home - so long as you don't stand up and inject in your bum, no ones going to notice you injecting your belly or your thigh under the table at a restaurant. Seriously, how often are you staring at a strangers lap when you're out at a restaurant? Never because you're normal, then you've probably been in a restaurant with a type 1 diabetic injecting and not noticed. It won't be any different in lanzarote.

Diabetic in Spanish is pretty much the same word I think, so if you end up being queried by a waitress (highLy unlikely) the traditional English tourist method of shouting the English word should see you through!
