Please can coconut oil reduce blood sugar

I'm sorry I don't know....but what I do know is that a couple of teaspoons of apple cider vinegar taken about 15mins before a carbohydrate meal reduces the spike in insulin

I don't know about coconut oil either, but agree with 'collectingrocks' about trying cider vinegar. My husband isn't Diabetic (yet) so is taking cider vinegar and cinnamon to try and ward off the (probably) inevitable. I am type 2, taking Metformin, Novorapid, Lantus, blood pressure tablets and a Statin, so I am taking cider vinegar too in the hope that it will help. Let's face it, any help is appreciated !

With my Medical Librarian hat on, I would say take any of this kind thing with a pinch of salt, what evidence shows that it does? Put it this way if it really did, then the doctor would recommend it. However, there is no harm in trying it I guess.
