Hi, My name is Tracy Ryman I have a 10yr old daugher with diabetes. She currently has 6 injections per day & was due to go on an insulin pump. Due to NHS welfare cuts her DSN is SO overworked & she is unable to give the care that is needed, so all insulin pump starts have been cancelled. It does not stop there, 24/7 hr care stopped, school/home visit stopped or curbed & lots more. We have started a facebook campaign, have only been going 3 day and have almost 780 people join. We are going to see our MP Mr Gummer on Friday, have been on BBC Suffolk radio today & going back on there on 4.7.11. PLEASE HELP click on the link, allow page to open & Join & send to as many friends as possible. Many thanks from a very desperate mum x

Tracy,

Being local and attending the hospital in question... and having had my own application for a Pump turned down you have my full support.

I have to say generally the HCP's at the hospital in question have been very good... the consultant I am now under is excellent, but they need the funding to provide a decent standard of care and cutting back on care to the most vulnerable is frankly outrageous.

Hi, Fully support your campaign.

Unfortunaetly, round these parts there is no 24/7 care (other than A+E) or school visits either. I hate to say it, but they may be pulling everybody else down to this level. I do have a pump, but went for over 6 months between attached to it, and my first check up.

This forum helps so much
