This happy waddler has finally met his match
To get the full story I'd need to start from scratch
But I've neither the inclination or the time
So I'm trying to convey the message in the form of a rhyme
Nothing new has happened, no terrible upset
Everything has remained the same, it was as is...and yet
The song in my heart has been muted, dumbed down
A painted on circus face has become my mask, permanent frown
My bird of paradise has been shot down, feathers and fluff
My wee world has turned left for the worst and I'm feeling enough is enough
Fears and anguish fill my head, making me mad
With the futility of my anger decisions turn bad
Down to the river to watch the water flow
Wishing I could immerse my unfortunate and simply let go
Cast adrift my emptiness and watch it float away
Retain the inner giggle to bolster me through the day
Returning me to the me that I've seemed to got to know
Upside down and inside out always early but needing to go.
