Plioglitazone/ itching

Hi just seen a post saying to stop taking if any of the following side affects take place one of them being itching I constantly have to itch my shoulder and neck it's been doing my head in could this be the cause I also get short of breath now and again

Hi @Db3241 and welcome to the forum.
You need to speak to your G.P. as both the itching and shortness of breath are side effects of this medication and are listed in the Patient Information Leaflet.

I would advise you to ring NHS 111 as it is the weekend and you may be having an allergic reaction to this medication.

Hi and thanks for your reply I will make appointment to see my doc on Monday I have been on it awhile when they started me back on insulin and thought nothing of it I mentioned it once to my and was told it wouldn't be my tablets (plioglitazone, metformin 2000 per day) thank God I saw the post because it has been driving me insane been going on a few months now
