PLS Reply, HbA1c of 42-NORMAL? or shd Docs be investigating?

Hi there - suffer with CFS/ME, random bloods done - ALL NORMAL, but my HbA1c is higher than normally @ 42 - should the doctor have looked a bit deeper - Haven't done fasting blood test - this was just a last afternoon blood test - Been really poorly with my ME at the mo, so any feedback would be appreciated, as symptoms at the moment could indicate towards like diabetes but could just be my ME/CFS thanks x

Hey there i would ask them to look into it if concerned definately im also having a problem where not been diagnosed just had hba1c today and im feeling so unwell with sugars of 22 etc and all diabetic symptoms but yet they r just so slow. I wish i was confident enough to demand glucose tests jus to hurry it up and be treated but i also just changed surgerys cos they where sayin i was normal when it clearly wasnt and everyday gettin high readings. Wish u all the luck

Hi

Your hba1c of 42 is equivalent to 6.0% which is very good so no need to panic. Unfortunately, hba1c's are no longer expressed as a % percentage anymore so it can be a bit confusing :)
