Peppers , Spiders, War and people who think they are better than me, we are all equal !
From day 1 of my ladies cycle ( no i dont mean the old bike in the shed that i ride side saddle) i can keep to a controlled diet, not fussed about eating at all, dont even get hungry really, then BANG day 14 and i want food ...carbs, sugar, high protein, low protein, dairy whatever i want it !!!!

Defiantly not diabetes related, but does effect it !!!.... I havent told my GP he thinks i am a hypochondriac as it is

I'm glad I'm past all that! Got to be something to do with your body anticipating pregnancy and telling you to start building up for it.

Well it can anticipate all it bloody likes, its not happening LOL

Never mind Chez, only another 12-14 years to go before the hot flushes and insane urges to kill relatives etc!!

I wish I could get rid of it all! I'm in the age range to do so but my body is disagreeing and getting it's revenge!!

I used to get monthly cravings before I started low carbing, but don't now. No way would I be having any more kids though! (I've got three). I would rather jump from a tall building than tread the maternal minefield again lol. Did establish with consultant at diagnosis that I can have HRT for menopause without any probs re diabetes. My relatives are safe cos I am not having diabetes AND menopause. Plan to sail through with all the chemical help available thank you very much

Caitycakes x

I'm past the age (61) , but I do remember. A health visitor told me she was sure it was a Vitamin B problem. I found yeast tablets helped a bit.

I'm glad its just not me then!! A week before TOM and I crave anything sweet, stodgy and then once its started it just goes away to come back again the next month! :x

I know exactly what you are going through I also suffer with severe water retention (up to 5 kilos at times  )

Well at least the red clover is helping my mum with her hot flushes she still gets them but not nearly as bad as they were.

Have also got vitamin b complex for me but not noticed any ease up of cravings

I'm freezing cold all the time. Used to be really hot most of the day throughout the year. Plus ahving the hot flushes. TOM is a bad time in my house as I get so crabby. sister runs for cover whenever I appear!!

Grrr! I'm ****ed off now - my TOM is due at the weekend and I just went mad - 4 lots of hot buttered toast just so I could have some Marmite :( and I was feeling so virtuous as well - saw my practice nurse last week and I'd lost 1 kilo in the 2 weeks since I last saw her. And I ate all my macanuts as well, which means yet another shopping trip tomorrow before I visit my mum. Boo hoo! Oh well, at least I'll have the 1 hour walk to and from her house to make up for it. Hooray!
