Anyone ever been cut during yearly diabetes podiatry visit
First time it’s happened to me and wondering what to expect healing wise etc.

Not something I’ve experienced, but in your shoes I’d be calling them to report it and ask for advice.

A diabetes podiatry visit would be a first for me!

Keep a very close eye on the cut, but as @Goonergal suggests, worth asking the podiatrist how to manage it.

What happened? Did they nick the toe, cutting a nail or something?

Thanks for reply It was podiatrist that cut me! Sole of foot at base of toes said I had a corn - (I’ve had one a few years ago it was removed no issue)
I yelped in pain and pulled my foot - I think because I was cut but podiatrist said my moving caused cut! Dressing applied told keep clean and dry and remove on three days - it’s already became filthy on way home as I was wearing sandals - dunno what to do leave with dirty bandage or risk removing bandage washing and redressing

Ouch. That's unlucky.

If the dressing is dirty, definitely put a call in for advice. If the dressing is well stuck down it might be just fine to go with the original instructions, but the call would settle your mind I reckon.

My guess, unless you know for sure that you have bad circulation etc. just treat it like you would any other cut, it will just heal, just an accident, I assume it wasn’t malicious? You could never prove it wasn’t you moving that caused it, I’m sure you will be fine.

I have had several disgusting things go into my foot (building sites) never had a problem.

I've had a podiatrist accidentally cut my toe at the side of the nail. It bled quite a lot, so she cleaned it and bandaged it. Unfortunately it became infected and I needed antibiotics, after which it healed ok. I think it was just with being so close to the nail that was the problem for me.

Personally I wouldn't want to keep a dirty bandage on my foot, so would remove it carefully, wash my foot and rebandage it.

Whatever you decide to do, I hope it heals quickly.
