I was given a birthing plan fairly early on with the doctors so I knew what to expect. I know it's hard not to feel scared but in some respects you have to just focus on doing the best you can now. Contact your doctor on Monday they should refer you to your local hospital from there you should get support.
Hi @kaylee8827 Welcome to the forum :) Before I was diagnosed type 1, I had gestational diabetes which was diagnosed quite late into my pregnancy at 23 weeks and went straight onto insulin, I don't know why they didn't do the blood test earlier as I felt that I hadn't been right for a while. There were alot of emotions going through my head at the time, handling pregnancy, dealing with new knowledge and all the while concern for my baby, apart from being induced at 37 weeks and giving birth to a large baby, everything was fine. I was given a birthing plan fairly early on with the doctors so I knew what to expect. I know it's hard not to feel scared but in some respects you have to just focus on doing the best you can now. Contact your doctor on Monday they should refer you to your local hospital from there you should get support. PM me if you want a chat ;)
