Possible message for Admins

I have just had an email from supposedly Diabetes.co.uk. When I clicked the link as I always do when I get notifications it came up with the normal looking site, but was full of adverts and the main headline was about Diabetics passing a BM more than once a day being more likely to suffer from Heart Disease??? Terrified me, then I realised because of all the adverts popping up this is possibly a scam/cloned site? Can anyone clarify if they have had this today and can admins clarify that this is a spoof email? I am sure that Diabetes co.uk would never put anything out like this in such a horrible way. Thanks.
