Type 2 Possibly coming down with cold/cough

Yesterday I started coughing out of nowhere and still doing it next day. Assuming I’m coming down with something.
First time I’ve had anything coldy wise since diagnosis.
Is there anything I should or shouldn’t be doing?
Does the diabetes make a difference?
Or is it irrelevant and I just carry on as normal?

Just checking, when you were diagnosed how was your blood pressure? Just asking incase you were started on a BP med called an ACE inhibitor, they can cause coughing sometimes.

It was normal for a normal person but slightly high for diabetes. Think they said it was 2 too high. But last time (after about 3rd attempt) it was normal even for diabetes.
