Hi,
It sounds to me like high blood sugars, pushed up no doubt by your soup (was it tinned?), bread roll and fruit (and possibly also the yogurt - check the carb content on the tub) I could be quite wrong, but that was a very carb laden lunch I'm afraid and I expect I might feel similar to you had I eaten it.
In addition to a diary of your symptoms, I would add notes about what you ate prior to feeling those symptoms, and show this to your doctor..
Think I will start doing this... The soup was a fresh one from tesco with lentils and tomatoes... I'm just scared because I don't know what to do...I've never had my blood sugar tested, I don't know what the urine test results yesterday were as I didn't ask, so I'm just in this weird limbo but feeling more awful by the day...I had to go to a training course today and felt terrible... Nothing the trainer said stuck in my head at all, all feels like a blur...its just worrying and I can't do anything about it... Very tearful too which is unlike me. Sorry, know I sound so dramatic when I've not even been diagnosed with anything :/It is always wise to check the total carb content on all foods that come in packaging, whether it be tins, boxes, tubs, or packets. If it has more than 10g per 100g. put it back on the shelf. The exception to this is with condiments that you only have a teaspoon full of. Indeed, much less than 10g per 100g is preferable. Do check carefully before you eat. Tinned soups are not good because they are thickened with flour and may contain added sugars.
Yes cutting carbs is always good for the soul and bodyThere is obviously something wrong for you to feel so ******, so you aren't being dramatic at all, and tears are allowed. The worst part is always the waiting for the tests and then waiting for the results. If you do have high blood sugars, worrying about it won't help at all.
In case it is high BS my advice is to just eat meat/fish/eggs and veggies/salads this weekend. No sugar/cakes/biscuits. Cut out the bread/spuds/rice/pasta/cereals. Drink loads of water. See if you feel any better. Even if you don't have high BS it won't do you any harm.
The fresh soup from Tesco and anywhere else will have been thickened with flour or potato. Soup is only safe if you make it yourself.
HiFirst I would ask if you went to the doctors because you were feeling ill the way you do now. Is it possible that you may have a flu bug or an infection. I take it when you ate the same kind of food before you felt unwell they did not affect you like that and you do say you have only been feeling rotten for a few days. I would wait until you get the result of your fasting blood test and see what that shows . As already said diabetes does not always give any symptoms and even if it does they do not usually come on that quickly and start affecting what you eat where a virus or infection would make you feel like you do

HiHi. It could be diabetes or something else. Some people feel unwell with only slightly raised blood sugar. I felt fine when my sugars were in the 30s (which is why diabetes can be a symptomless but dangerous condition). Do see the GP to get checked out.
Well hopefully your test will sort things out as to what's wrong but try not to worry to much it is doubtful that even if you do have diabetes you won't have done any lasting damage. Once you have it sorted you can start to make some changes like you have already been doing by lowering the starchy carbs. Just takes things one day at a time and you will be fine. A lot here use a blood glucose meter to check on the affect foods has on their BG levels so as you have a meter you may want to do that once you know whats what
