Possibly Moving to the US, What do I need to do

Hi Everyone,

My company want to place me in California for 6 months in the new year, What do I need to be thinking about to get access to insulin, test strips and needles while Im there? Im Type 1.

Will I have to pay for them? Do I need to discuss health care and Travel Insurance?

This is the first time I will have travelled abroad while being Diabetic, but is also the first time I will have been out of Europe.

Any help and information on this will be of great help.

If your company is already set up in the US, they *should* offer you company health insurance. I'm not 100% sure on the details, but you definitely need to ask them about this. The health insurance will take care of some, if not all the cost of your insulin & test strips (again, not 100% sure on the details as it varies with different policies)
