So normal morning - nothing out the ordinary, started on a good number (6.6 from a 7.7 last night before bed),as usual weighed my breakfast cereal, checked the packet worked out the carbs, agreed with what my meter was suggesting as a bolus.

Looking forward to a good day of numbers

bish bash bosh 3hrs later 2.3 - why?

Note to self: when finishing up the dregs of a certain honey nut cornflake packet most of the bits at the bottom are bits of nuts and not the honey coated flakes that contain all the sweet carbiness normally found in said product!

:woot:

Hi @slip anything else to report i.e. stress/exercise ?

2.3 is fairly low, so unless you were eating the pure dregs/nuts from the bottom, then I wouldn't point the finger at carbs eaten, I tend to act on a repeat pattern with lows then look at basal rates.

I started the day at 3.3mmol/l at 5.30am, I was rushing around last night and didn't eat much, so unless it happens again tomorrow morning will just ignore this, otherwise will be reducing my basal insulin.

Cheers Juicyj - it really was the dregs, and ironically as I decided I might as well finish up the packet it was more, by weight, than I would usually have so that upped my bolus a bit but actually must have been less carbs than normal - there was no difference in my usual morning routine. My breakfast ratio is a tad high anyway but I prefer it that way so I can snack mid morning anyway.
