Post pregnancy low blood sugar

Hi all,
I have run out of ideas so decided to try here for some advise. I hope that is ok?!
I had my daughter in October last year and at 35 weeks of pregnancy i was diagnosed with Gestational diabetes. I controlled the blood sugar through diet changes and monitored my levels 4 times a day. Post pregnancy i had a gtt test which said I was all good.
Before pregnancy i didn't have any trouble with dieting. Since pregnancy almost every day when I try to diet my blood sugar level drops (usually mid morning) to around 3.2 - 4.3.
I get shaky, clammy and end up scoffing down whatever I can find to make it pass. I have been back to the Dr who has done another gtt. Again all fine.
I am sure something isnt right as like I said, I didn't have anything like this prior to being pregnant.

Does anyone have any experience of this? Is there anything I can do?
Many thanks if you made it this far!

Hi @Postpregnancyhypo :)

Would you like me to move this to the Gestational section for you?

It's really good that you've been able to get an OGTT and your doctor has said all's ok.

A few thoughts/questions - are you still breastfeeding? Breastfeeding needs carbs and so dieting can make mums feel faint. Hormonal changes after pregnancy can cause heat/sweats sometimes.

4.3 is a normal blood sugar,MDI nothing to worry about. The 3.2 is slightly below norma range (3.5) but could easily be due to the 15% margin of error of the meter - that is, it coukd be reading low and you're actually 4.4 or whatever.

Finally, have you had general health screen for anaemia and for a thyroid check. Occasionally thyroid problems can start after pregnancy, and these can cause sweating.
