posting this for my dad, who is a 70 yr old T2 and underwent whipple procedure back in march 2017 (pre-malignant tumor found near his pancreas).
it's been a while since his surgery, but recently i noticed that he has been either immuno-compromised (sp?) or has weak tolerance for food. he feels weak and cold (which translates to being feverish for him, but his temp isn't up), and so far i noticed that he feels this after eating a larger amount of greasy food. he's experiencing this right now after eating quite a bit of... umm... local junk food (fried chicken intestine, we call it "bucheron").
so i'm wondering if anyone has had similar symptoms, either after whipple surgery or none? and if you have, were you given proper explanation and guidance for this? i see by search results that it's generally advised not to eat greasy food after whipple, but am also wondering if this is permanent, or will it improve, what other food we should be mindful about considering it's been 1yr++ after surgery, etc
i know this might be an unneeded question - lots of resources online - but if you have any particular experience/advise to share, please do, would be greatly appreciated.
