So sorry to hear you're ill. Hope you feel better very soon. If my bs stayed at 10.7 when I'm ill I'd be happy. Had some shocking numbers a couple of weeks ago with a uti. Thought meter was malfunctioning but was actually me malfunctioning! :smile:All better now tg. I know its frustrating but persevere and you will come out the other side Refuse To Be Defeated! Take it easy and mind yourself

Hi all.
My sugar levels were not too bad, on average between 5-9.
But day before yesterday i was shocked to see 23mmo/l before dinner , instead of 10 units i took 20 to take readings normal , even after 2 hours of dinner it was 15.3mmo/l.
Next morning was 12.3mmo/l before breakfast ... Took 15 units plus 1gliclazide and two 500 mg metformin again after two hours it was 12.7mmol.
One more reading of 15.1 mmo/l before dinner and 2 hrs later 14.1 with 15 units of insulin plus the oral tabs.
I am on gliclazide 80mg one tablet twice daily And metformin 500mg two tablets twice daily.
Insulin is novomix 30 ( 10 units and told to increase accordingly )
I also contacted my gp only been told to increase units (which i already did) and see us back in two weeks.
Pls guide me about these high levels before they were in control 5 to 9 mmol with only 10 units of insulin plus the oral , and now out of control even with increased insulin.
