Doesn't seem entirely fair that after getting my fasting glucose level down from 13.5 to 7.0 in a month that my beloved "Original Curry" Pot Noodle has this many carbs.
Anyone got any equally feckless snacking suggestions, just for a treat, you understand??

I like the post but I'm afraid I can't help with a lower carb treat though!

Is Pot Noodle actually classified as food?
I was just about to respond to that question, I believe not lol

latest

  • Beet root salad with some Cesar's dressing
  • Egg roasted with some fine chopped bacon
  • 6 small Hot Dogs with a can of carrots (without a roll of course)
  • Small Cod fillet with herbs and lemon juice from the microwave
  • Tikka Masala chicken breast from the microwave
  • Chicken Satay With Peanut Dip from the microwave

Some brilliant suggestions, how do make a nice peanut dip ? I love dips with raw veg.

See you are using a mixed insulin so will need to have carby snacks, how many grams of carbs do you aim for when snacking?

Nairns's Oatcakes are nice and delicious (especially the cheese oatcakes) or you could have a piece of fruit like a apple or banana.

Some great tips here, will give a few a try - cheers. I remember the Pot Noodle "**** snack" ads! My first one was as a student in 1983 ;-)
I'm pretty new to all this, so by would mixed insulin need carby snacks ( sounds like a good excuse to me...) I take two doses a day, 13U each, and around 90g-ish in carbs between each one.
