Pots

?
I've got one but there's a spider plant in it !

Just looked it up.

No I don;t think I have it but I have experienced it a few times after getting up too quickly from sitting down.. Feeling dizzy and shaky but lasts only for a few seconds and then I'm ok again. Haven't experienced it for some time though..

Thats if your talking about Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome !

Me! And orthostatic hypotension to go with it.

@kevinfitzgerald with pots it tends to be a lot longer than a few seconds. Sometimes you stand up and you literally fall over. On my really bad days, when I change posture I get this ‘aura’, and I can’t hear or see for a few minutes. I have constant shortness of breath and tightness in my chest, and walking, especially stairs, it feels like there is no oxygen getting to my thighs. Sometimes I stand up and I instantly need the loo, because of a blood pressure drop, apparently. When I breathe it feels like I can’t reach the bottom of my lungs, like there isn’t enough strength in my chest muscles to stretch far enough.

Sorry for being boring! My point was that you don’t need to worry - if you had it, you’d know it!

Thank you. It's good to know I don't have it and I've also learnt something. I had never heard of it to be honest ! I know a few years ago before having my blood pressure taken at my Diabetes Clinic they made me lie down for ten minutes and then they asked me to stand up as they took my pressure. I didn't fall down and they said everything was ok. Maybe that was a test for POTS... Or they were just really bored !

Thanks EllsK..
