Prayers please

Sending you big hugs.

I found Bliss the perm baby charity were really helpful when my now 7 year old was born 2 months prem. He was very poorly in his first year - not that you would ever be able to tell now. He is the tallest in his entire year (despite being one of the youngest) he is fit, healthy and my pride and joy.

Hope all goes well for the little one, give mum our best wishes.

My great grandson was born two months prematurely in the early hours today and is only three pounds in weight ,he is booked for surgery this afternoon so very worried
Hi there! My eldest was born bang on week 29 and weighed less than 2lbs and is a strapping 9 year old today. Hope this makes you feel better! The technological advancements are 9 years on. What's the surgery for? All the best for the little chap and his family. Xxx

borderter, I've no personal experience of being close to anyone whose little child
was born prematurely, I can only try to imagine the worry and stress felt by all
family members and close friends of those concerned.

I've a prayer box where I place little notes concerning prayer requests, your prayer
request for your little grandson is now in there...he won't be forgotten.

Best wishes to all concerned.

willie.

First of all, congratulations on the birth of the little chap.
May he be blessed with good health and long happy life, filled with love, and may he bring you all joy.

4 of my grandchildren were bron prematurely and at very low birth weight 26 weeks and 1lb 10oz, 25 weeks and 1lb 13oz, and twins born at 27 weeks at 2lbs each. All have lived to tell the tale and although I must be truthful and say our lass has cerebral palsy, it affects her movement, not her ability to wrap everybody she meets around her little finger. Sharp as a pin, does well at mainstream primary school and likes grandma's meatballs. the other kiddies are all just fine, foot stomping and getting into trouble.

Medical teams looking after preemies are extremely highly skilled and would pick up any problems for the wee one after his surgery. I'm not religious but do believe in the power of good so with all these wishes, he'll do ok. :)

Morning, how are things today with your great grandson ? Thinking of you and your family and fingers crossed for some happy and positive news today . With my heartfelt good wishes X

He looks to have a couple of areas in his brain not as they should be but its early days so hoping they have given the worst poss scenario after body scan
Your good wishes move me to tears and to think i wondered if posting here may be inapropriate how wrong am i
thanks peeps

I don't want to give you false hope here, but they do tend to give worse case scenarios at times like this. This could be anything from almost nothing at all to something serious. Yes it's early days yet, so I'll be praying and hoping and waiting with you. x

My nephew came 7 weeks early. My sister was told to fear the worst as he had been measuring small in the weeks before. They were particularly scared about his lungs

He came out screaming - no issues in the lung department!

He's now 19 months old. His sight and hearing is perfect. Motor skills are spot on for his age. His speech is slightly delayed, but they have done some tests and apparently there is no reason for it and he will catch up.

Thing is, even if he had a problem in one or all of those areas we would love him just as much! Keeping my fingers crossed for you :)

Sorry for the late reply as I've only just seen this.

Congratulations on the birth of your new little family member.

It's absolutely amazing what SCBU's can do nowadays. Your little man is in the best and safest hands possible.

Thinking of you and your family and new little addition. x

Only just seen this, congratulations. Hopefully things will just get better and better and he will be home very soon.
