Pre-diabetes - I have a question?

The year before I was diagnosed a T2 I had a glucose reading of 6 and I was told at the time that it was normal and nothing to worry about and then a year later I developed full blown diabetes. Does anyone know if the guidelines had changed the year I became diabetic in 2009? Ie this could have made me in the pre-diabetic stage. My partner seems to think this was the case in my case.

I don't think so, 6 mmol are pretty low and normal reading for non diabetics if they have eat.

Know alot of people that have got result all from 6-7 mmol without developing diabetes.
