I have been told "Demon Labz. Pre workout Beast" is a great pre workout drink but I can't find any info on carb/ sugar content. Has anyone got any knowledge or experience with this product.

Thanks
Alan

What does it show for the nutritional info for it on the container (can almost see what may be nutritional info on the side)

I think their idea of "Nutritional information" is different to ours

First point is that Dextrose is a form of Glucose.

1.25 grams in 7.65 grams is about 16 grams per 100 grams (if my dodgy maths is working).

However if you are only taking one scoop that is only 1.25 grams so shouldn't be a massive issue.

Probably fine, I’ve been using alpha amino bcaa

Thanks, I've not touched the stuff yet, I wanted to check it out first. Thanks for the info.

Dextrose is a simple sugar and is recommended for treating hypos whereas glucose is a complex carbohydrate and to be avoided unless there is nothing else.

Dextrose is glucose by another name… according to google anyway

According to my failing memory there are two optical isomers (that is, same atoms in the molecule with a different arrangement of bonds). That is, they twist polarised light in different ways.
Dextrose which twists light to the right.
Levulose which twists light to the left.

However the Internet, as usual, doesn't seem to be sure.

As far as I can tell at the moment:
Dextrose=Glucose
Levulose=Fructose
Both are monsaccharides which can combine to form the disaccharide sucrose.

However I am happy to be corrected.

Interesting that optical isomerism can affect the way that monosaccharides are processed by the body.

Interesting about chirality, I wonder if I’d lose weight if I started eating with my left hand
