Our NHS is now advertising prediabetes courses more...

For those in Northamptonshire- has anybody contacted them? Has anybody else in their CCG's seen prediabetes courses?

Anybody been on a course?

Can't get the poster to the website... Will retry!!

WWW.RISKSCORE.DIABETES.ORG.UK.. Thats all I can get... Its being put through the NHS so courses may be more widely available now?

It's great that they are doing this. I remember using a website years ago that calculated my risk of developing diabetes and the result was low, something like 20%. So much for that, lol.

That's an interesting piece of data... I wonder what factors might be involved in that. I live in a mostly rural area with slightly lower educational attainment rates than elsewhere and our smoking and drinking rates are higher. I don't know if our obesity rates are higher but it wouldn't surprise me. I think high obesity rates may be associated with lower income levels... just talking at a population level not an individual one.
 
I just hope that other CCGs are following suit.. I would love to know what they are going to say but can't get myself on it!!
