Non-insulin injectable medication (incretin mimetics)
I’m currently taking Ozempic but I’ve read pregnant people need insulin is this correct? Would it be possible to have an insulin pump if this is the case? Thanks

In pregnancy, only metformin and insulin are safe for the baby. I don't know where u are based, but pump in pregnancy is only for type 1 DM in Ireland.
Unfortunately, none of the GLP-1 agonists is known to be safe in pregnancy. In fact, you are advised not to conceive while on these medications.
I have had two babies with gestational diabetes at early gestation (24 weeks and 18wks - on both occasions was on insulin only, offered metformin in my 2nd pregnancy, and couldn't tolerate s/es.
I am currently been managed as a type 2 although maybe a LADA, on Victosa (similar to ozempic but daily dosing).
