Hi everyone,
New to using the Glucose meter. I am having difficulty in drawing enough blood from the finger. I have tried several settings and can get blood but after several attempts and wasting the needles. I bought the True plus lancets because it says fits most lancing devices. Could that be the reason or is it the way I am loading the needle. Please assist. I don’t particularly like needles but it’s got to be done.

Very hard to advise when we can't see what you're doing.
Have you watched some you tube videos on how to use the lancing device?

Wash hands in warm water.
Prime lancing device and hold against side of finger above the highest joint but don't press too hard.
Release the lancet and massage the finger to get the blood.
"Scoop" up the blood with the test strip and allow the meter to do the reading.

Hope that helps.

I don't like the look of any lancets, so I use the Accuchek Fastclix. It looks like a pen and contains a cartridge of lancets. You hold end to your finger and push button on top. I don't see the needle, and just feel a slight prick.
Can be bought online or in pharmacies fr around £14.
