Prescription woes

Hi all

Hoping someone can offer some advice in relation to prescriptions for Metformin. I have been on 2000mg for about 2 weeks now. However, once again, my doctors have failed to send my prescription to my nominated chemist. This means that I have none left and will have to wait another 3 days for them to sort it out. They absolutely will not issue my prescriptions until the last minute so this is happening more frequently
How detrimental is this likely to be, given that I've only recently built my dose up to 4 tablets a day? TIA

HELLO all I too had this problem and got it sorted have your surgery do a 6 month worth of prescriptions to be held at your chemist for call off so you can call chemist a day before your due your medications when your prescriptions are due each one is numbered 1-6 so they know when to 're order a new batch hope this helps everyone.

My boots chemist told me they were authorised to give out an emergency strip of any medicine in just such occasions.

I use the chemist at my doctors and I just call to tell them that I have a few items coming through and a controlled drug and I am able to get them delivered directly to the door within a couple of days without any problems to me or them and I order my prescription over the Internet or mobile phone app the patient access app
