How do we send a private message to the Administrator or a moderator. I have clicked on the Administrator and a moderator profile but there is no option to send a private message
 
Hello @Pinkorchid You need to be in messages to send a message, so open and then add their name there
 
hi there
at the top of the page next to your own name is an envelope.
if you click on the envelope , it will open the private message function.
you then just type the name of the person or persons you wish to message

then just add a subject in the subject box
....and type your message in the dialogue box below.
 

Hey not forgetting to click on "start a new conversation" at the bottom of the drop down menu... Bringing up the blank message one wishes to compose.
 
Thanks but does that conversation show up on their profile page for anyone to be able to read or can only they see it

No I thought that when they changed it from "Private Messages" but the "Conversations" are PM's by another rather confusing IMHO name and I still dont know why they chose to call it that when every other forum calls it private messaging.

The only messages that show up on someones pages are those that are typed on their respective pages and left as comments, see it is confusing isnt it?

Ps. I just tried to send you a private message/Conversation to show you what is is but as you have restricted who can see your profile no one can send you a private message/conversation. if you want to receive "conversations" you should change your privacy settings.
 
I did not know I had restricted it and do not know how to change that As you say it has all got confusing now why change things that were working ok When it says.. start a conversation..it does not indicate that it will be a private one intended only for the administrator or a moderator
 
If you click on your name at the top of the page then go to privacy settings, you can tick or untick boxes to set your level of privacy.

The conversations are private, but if you are still unsure, perhaps you could start a test conversation with the moderator just asking them to message you back.
 

Pinkorchid, if you want to PM Administrator, please ensure you use Administrator, not admin.

I hope you can do what you want. If you can't, send me a PM, I will add Administrator to the message, then leave it, just leaving you and Admin in the chain.
