I'm sorry if this has already been answered...

But how do you send a PM?

It says "You are not authorised to send private messages" on my control panel

So what do I do???

There's something wrong here. I will let Giverny know about the problem and she will fix it for you.
 
amberzak - you have enough posts to read private messages so I have contacted Giverny who will be able to help.
 
Should all be fixed for you, Allic1971 - there was a small error with your permission set that means you weren't transferred over properly when you reached 5 posts.

amberzac, I'm still having trouble working out the problem with your PMs - is it saying you have unread PMs?

It's not saying I have unread PMs. It keeps coming up its notifications on my ipad to say a message has been received, then there is no new message there. Also I'm concerned my messages aren't sending, they aren't in my sent folder

That's very unusual, I'll look in to what could be causing this. As for the sent messages, they will appear in your outbox until they have been read by the other person. Once they have been read, they will then appear in your sent messages folder :)

Hi Scarlet, are you getting any kind of error when you attempt to send a PM? I've had a quick glance at your user permissions and you should be able to send/receive things just fine.
