Hello guys i used mixtard for 2 years but now I'm using lantus 20 u at night actrapid 8 u before meal now when i wake up i found my bg level is high 200 mg/dl then take my bolus i make random check at 2 pm found it 89 mg/dl at 3 pm take small snack and make another check at 8 pm found it 216 mg/dl my dr said i should take bolus 3 times before meals but i only eat twice aday should i take bolus with the snack or increase my basal thanks im type 1

It would be a good idea to do some basal testing to make sure that your Lantus is at the correct dose.

Once you have that set correctly, you can look at the amounts of Actrapid you need for each meal. You should also be able to skip meals if you want. Have you been taught about carb counting and adjusting your Actrapid to match what you are eating?

I agree with @robert72 that you should do a basal test. It's best to get your basal dose correct first.
