Apologies in advance but I'm going to be honest and say I'm already a member here but I've created a false account to ask this...

Basically I'm quite a late bloomer. I'm 27 and just started being sexually active with my partner. Well trying to... Having an issue with ED making intercourse impossible for more than a minute before he's down again. My bg control isn't perfect but my hba1c is always under 60, with my most recent being 59. So room for improvement but I don't think poor control is causing damage.

I get morning wood so it works, but masturbation is the same story as sex. It works but the second I take away the stimulation, 'he' goes soft again. If I keep at it I do climax but it needs to be constant stimulation. With my partner fore play is fun but same issue; he doesn't stay up and so far I haven't been able to climax with her. I've made it clear that's it's me and not her but I'm really conscious that I've giving the wrong impression. I'm really lucky though, as she understands completely and is really supportive, but naturally I'm very keen to get this sorted. I'm not nervous of performing the act with her but I do get conscious of the fact that 'he' isn't reliable which I think adds to the issue.

So basically I've been reading other posts on here and am aware of some of the options. Some are really terrifying and depressing if I'm honest, which again adds to the problem. I've got a docs appointment next week but I was wondering if anyone else on here could give me advice, tips, hints, anything that can help me out. I really like this girl and want it to be special with her and not be a let down...

Thanks!

Hello ED. Can't help with your problem, but have deleted your double posting.

Have a look at the Thread in same Ask a Question Forum. How to ask anonymously".

Best wishes - I'm sure you'll work things out,

Jane.

Hi Sneaky, quite a common problem with men but one that is usually easily resolved. Speak to your doc/DSN about it. They are well used to it and nothing to be embarrassed about. There are meds that can help. Good luck :)

Thanks, fingers crossed :) Hoping I'm just prescribed Viagra or something and it's a nice easy solution...
