I've not been posting much lately as last month I was really unwell with tonsillitis and have only recently got over it. At it's worst I was on an icecream, ice cube or McDonalds milkshake diet depending on how bad the pain was, and who was available to fetch my supplies! (I never have milkshakes, ever - unless for rare medicinal purposes like this).
So now I'm over all that I have had a fasting cholesterol test and an hba1c test - which is about 3 months exactly from the last one which was when I found out I am prediabetic.
I have only had the results from phoning up but will get the print out on Monday.
hba1c = now 41 (it was 45 three months ago)
cholesterol - HDL is 1.6 - LDL is 2.4 and Trig is 1.3 (I did not have a fasting one three months ago so do not have the numbers for then).
I'm pleased about the reduction in the hba1c - what does this mean for me now and should I aim to go lower?
What do the cholesterol results mean? Are they good? The GP has marked them as normal on my record so presumably they are good?
