Prolems with vision

Hi Guys,just wondering if anyone colud give a little advice....was diagonsed type 2 about a month ago with the usual symptoms including blurred vision which cleared after a few days...doctor originally said diet and exercise but called me back after a high bg test and has now perscribed metformin 500mg twice daily.
The problem Im having now is that my vision seems to have reversed...previously I had to wear prescription specs for distance objects and close vision was spot on...now i can see perfectly for distance without specs but close is very poor even affecting work.
Booked in to see the doctor again but not till end of next week and retinopathy screening not due till May.
Any advice greatly received.

Shortly after diagnosis my glasses proved to be rubbish for my close vision and for about 3 weeks I was wondering around without glasses - but my lens prescription has changed since I got my blood glucose levels under control.

While things are still changing though it might be advisable to hold fire until things settle down, once you are happy with your BG control then I would suggest returning to your optician for an eye test and prescription.

Not uncommon for vision to change as your BG comes down. Don't even think of getting new glasses until things stabilise!
