Hi

I just wondered if anyone else is taking Propanalol for migraines? I have been taking it since last April and in the first week (apart from the gurgly tum!) I was very lethargic but it wore off and gradually i was back to normal.
I have been very tired lately and wondered if it is this tablet again causing the tiredness but then because i am used to them now and take one everyday should i not be experiencing side effects any more?

I am tempted to stop them again and see how i feel but i felt pretty **** before i took them so dont really want to go back to that! I would have to wean myself off as well so would take a while.

I just wondered if anyone had had a similar experience?

Really - i would love to stop taking Metformin as well but don't think that will happen soon as i am still just over 7 for my HBA1c so i can't see my doctor agreeing to that! One day...

Thanks

Re: Propanalol

Some years back my endo was of the opinion that my T2 could have been seeded by being put on the drug for stress related hypertension. He might have been right as I was not over weight at diagnosis and very active :(

Re: Propanalol

I'm afraid tiredness is a common side effect from taking Propranolol. I've been on it for years, as my heart rate is too fast.

Don't come off it without your doctor's help as you have to be weened off these tablets. They also make me wheeze when I first lie down, then stops after about half an hour.
