protein for breakfast

im following a diet with only low GI carbs with only occasional med/high GI carbs. it is based on the fedon lindberg principles and so far seems ok. The only issue i have is breakfast as i find eating protein at breakfat a problem. what i decided to do is have a maximuscle milk shake for breakfast as it no carbs and lots of protein. is this a bad thing to do?
 
How can that be zero carbs? From what I remember a cup of fully skimmed milk has about 12 gs of carbohydrate.
