Hi all. My urine is monitored weekly since March due to protein and in the last few weeks it's increasing. My bp is within range no swelling in ankles, legs etc. No symptoms. Consultant said he might refer me to renal specialist if it still increases. He seems calm about it but when I met dietician she said to cut down on protein sizes and she was concerned. I had none of this with first pregnancy hba1c is 36. Any body have any experience?

Which consultant, endocrine or obstetric?

Diabetic consultant

Each trust is different but being T1 you should also have a team with the obstetrician too. Have you seen them yet? It’s not unheard of to get pre eclampsia at your gestation but it’s rare, someone should have done LFT, U&E, urates and FBC by now.
When is your next appointment with them?

Smashing, good to see you have a plan of care. You should also have available to you a Midwife specialising in diabetes in pregnancy too.

PS, ace HbA1c! ...and I forget to say that I’m a recently retired Midwife.
Thank you. I have a pump and i love it on paper it's good but looking at my graphs is a different story! Happy retirement
